Time to begin your crypto journey with your first Learn Crypto Quest. We’ll start simple, walking you through how to get your hands on the most important aspect of using and understanding crypto – your first crypto wallet!

You now have a crypto wallet containing Ether or ETH, the native cryptocurrency of Ethereum. You’re set to do a lot more stuff with crypto in the new world of Web3. Part of that is personalising your web experience. We’ll get you started with some basic steps.

Now that you’ve got a crypto wallet, your next Learn Crypto Quest will help you buy some crypto. There are many ways to do this. One of the most common ways is through something called an exchange, where you can buy crypto with regular money.

As an alternative to exchanges, you can also buy crypto from inside MetaMask itself.

After connecting to a Dapp or platform with your Web3 wallet, it is always good practice to disconnect when you no longer need to use the Dapp or platform. Doing so is really easy.

You’ll now learn how to trade crypto using a decentralised exchange or DEX. You’ll swap your Ether (ETH) for some stablecoin called Tether (USDT).

MetaMask connects by default to the Ethereum network. This is where the majority of Web3 apps live. But there are other networks too. You’ll now learn how to switch to a new network and add a custom network to MetaMask.

In previous quests, you learnt how to buy crypto using the Ethereum network, which is the default blockchain network on most Web3 platforms. This quest will teach you to buy crypto using a different network.
